Challenge – More Usage + Cost Justification
Lindsey is the manager of People Operations at ViralNation and was looking for a new platform to help them with their recognition program – one that was not only tightly integrated into but fully lived inside of Slack, so that employees could share feedback with each other where they work. They were also keen on finding a system that would provide them the data they needed to not only understand what was driving company culture, but to justify the cost and spend on the recognition program at their organization.
Solution:
Having come across CultureBot in 2022, ViralNation quickly adopted the shoutouts and peer rewards feature of CultureBot.
They found it to be the easiest to use peer-to-peer recognition program on the Slack market. They also found that the tool provided a level of customizability that other apps did not, which led them to rename the app itself to “OneNation Bot” – a better reflection of their company branded “Recognition” peer recognition project.
Result:
After over a year of working with CultureBot, the ViralNation team has seen the impact of the analytics reporting feature of the platform, which provided them the data they needed to justify the cost of the platform on their budget, and help their people team feel empowered to support their employees, and ultimately retain them.
They’ve also utilized other aspects of the app that they were not intending to, and have seen a huge impact on time back across their people team. CultureBot at ViralNation now supports the automation of their employee birthdays, employee work anniversaries, as well as the building of team camaraderie and community with automated water cooler topics and automated employee introductions.
