July 2024 - Product Release Overview

new feature Jul 29, 2024

This month we have a long list of updates, big and small. Have a quick read through below - and if you have any questions - as always, drop us a line at support(at)getculturebot.com!

💥 Reactions reporting

Use our new reactions reporting to understand how much engagement you are driving with CultureBot across: birthday celebrations, work anniversary posts, water cooler messages, shoutouts, and custom celebration alerts.

Before reporting is able to work, please reinstall CultureBot to give it the correct permissions. Once you do so, reactions will be counted daily (overnight) for up to 30 days across all posts that match one of the above categories. Below the chart you are also able to see a table listing out each message and the count of reactions on each.

To access reactions reporting, visit the 'usage reporting' dropdown inside of the CultureBot home page and you will see a link to "see a full report on engagement (via reactions)."

Reactions reporting allows you to visualize how many emojis are being added to celebration posts, shoutouts, as well as water cooler posts.

📅 Start dates for employee onboarding experiences

On employee experiences, when adding buddy & manager pairings in for new hires, you are now able to add an employee's start date. This way, you are able to create onboarding experiences that "trigger" based off of a start date (instead of when an employee is first added to Slack).

Click 'experiences' via the CultureBot web portal > '+ add pairing' > add 'start date'

Below is where you would setup a new onboarding experience based on employee start date – this is great for teams that have staggered/non-standardized start dates, as you won't need to guess the number of hours/days from when an employee is added to Slack (to begin the sequence).

For step 2, click 'on an employee's start date'

⁉️ Trivia custom question packs

Adding custom trivia 'packs' allows you to create sets of questions that you can run trivia games off of. This button is available to CultureBot admins + team managers/employees (this way, anyone can create their own custom packs and run trivia games for things like department-specific quizzes, etc.).

✏️ Ability to create trivia instances

Looking to play trivia in multiple channels at different times of the day and with different topics? Well, now you can! Create a 'trivia instance' for each Slack channel you'd like to configure a game of trivia to run in (on a regular basis). You can create as many recurring trivia 'instances' as you'd like. If you pair instances with custom trivia packs, you will be able to create custom trivia games that go off for different geographies/departments as you see fit.

Click 'add new trivia instance' to setup a new recurring game of trivia with distinct settings.

🐟Fishbowl

Fishbowl is a virtual version of a classic, fun (and mostly hilarious) guessing game, designed for any group of all ages! You'll need at least 4 to play, but it only gets more fun with more players. Hop on a video call, and play through rounds of Taboo, Charades, and Password.

To get started, visit the 'fishbowl' section of the CultureBot home page (shown below).

Click 'start game' to initiate your first game of fishbowl.

💬 Employee Intro Spam Control

If you've been sending out employee intros for some time, you'll be happy to hear that we've devised a solution for employee who want to avoid partaking in the intros fun. Employee who have not responded/engaged in 3 or more intro pairings will now be notified via CultureBot asking them if they'd:

  • Like to continue being included in intros
  • Snooze pairings with them for a certain period of time
  • Exclude themselves from future intro pairings altogether
An example of what the new intro pairings 'ask' message looks like.

And.... that's it for this time around! We hope you enjoy these updates, and we'd love to hear from you if you have any feedback or questions at all.

Cheers 🥂
