Jan 2025 Product Release Notes
A few updates to start the year for our survey features, employee experiences, shoutouts, employee introductions, and birthdays + work anniversaries. Let's dive into each quickly below to show you around...
Automated reminders for onboarding surveys
Automated reminders (to help employees remember to fill out surveys directly from inside Slack) were available to date for any one-off (non-recurring) survey campaigns. Now they are also avaiable for any survey frequency type (including onboarding surveys for new hires). See how to configure this new option below.
Loading demographic data for employees, show in survey results
If you're interested in pulling employee information like their title, department, location, etc. into survey results - this is the feature for you. Click 'experiences' inside the CultureBot web portal and the visit the 'employee pairings and info' tab – this is where the magic happens. Here, you can enter new employees' demographic information or edit existing employees' data, too. If you'd like we can also schedule recurring imports for your org to avoid doing this work manually (just contact support(at)getculturebot.com). From here, any data entered will automatically appear in survey campaign results pages.
Public shoutout reports
Shoutout reports can now be configured to send directly to Slack channel(s) of your choice. This is a great option for teams who are looking to boost engagement and recognition, rewarding those employees who are already taking advantage of the shoutouts feature the most. To enable this, click 'shotout reports' in the CultureBot backend, then configure how/where you'd like the report to send to (for all to see).
Send birthday collection messages to a channel of users
This little feature tweak is useful for those of you using CultureBot to do the heavy lifting of collecting birthdays on behalf of your employees. Now, instead of picking users one by one or literally everyone in your workspace, you have the option to target a specific channel of users. This will send a direct message to anyone in that channel, asking them to input their birthday (if they'd like to see it celebrated).
Allow partial admins access to configure birthdays and work anniversaries
Partial admins is a feature where you can select certain teammates to have individual feature rights. To date, this was for water cooler, intros, and surveys, but now it's also for birthdays and work anniversaries. This enables users (who you don't want to have full configuration capabilities) to collect birthdays/work anniversaries on their own, and even update the channel(s) that birthdays/work anniversaries send to. Visit the 'user permissions' page in the CultureBot web portal to see these new options.
Monthly celebration option for work anniversaries
This one is a relatively straightforward heavy-hitter. Some of us out there really don't need to celebrate work anniversaries everyday, or even every week. If that's you, now we have an option to celebrate month-by-month. This will allow users on your team to see their work anniversary celebrated for anyone in the upcoming month – dates/tenures still included.
Auto-create Google Calendar events for intros
For teams using employee introductions + Google Calendar, this one is also a powerful update. Click the chekboxes shown below and you'll automatically have CultureBot creating calendar events for your employees to meet with each other (when pairings go out), so long as at least two or more employees have integrated their Google Calendar (don't worry, there will be a button to do so at the bottom of every intro message).
And... that's a wrap for this time around. We'll be back again with more updates, most likely in February. We're also excited for a much bigger product announcement that has been in the works for months now (coming later this spring). If you have any questions or curiosities, as always, we'd love to hear from you!
Cheers,
Amy
