Hybrid/Remote Challenge

StreetBees has a very global team – spread across Europe and Asia, but with a main office in London. Having a very spread out hybrid-located team, they tried a lot of approaches to engage their team, but none of them worked.

They used to have a weekly all hands where the greater team would share shoutouts and celebrations from over the course of the week, but it felt hard to maintain the unity and sense of community post-Covid.

Solution in CultureBot + Slack

Having comes across CultureBot in 2022, StreetBees was excited because CultureBot brought together a lot of the things they were trying already, but into a single place. The platform also automated a lot of the things they were trying to do as well.

Having just recently gone through a revamp of their company values, they have used CultureBot to reinforce and re-instill these values through added awards and prizes inside of the shoutouts and peer rewards feature.

Using the powerful metrics and engagement analytics inside CultureBot has also helped get their teammates engaged and involved. They’re able to easily distinguish between which employees are actively engaged and those who are not – it’s also easy to report on which company values are being manifested/exhibited the most since CultureBot reports on that too.

StreetBees got a huge increase in engagement by implementing CultureBot — especially from their less engaged and most remote employees.

Results in Better Engagement

Overall, StreetBees has seen a huge increase in engagement – specifically, more people than ever before are giving shoutouts, but they’re also seeing more engagement from the people who weren’t engaged at all before – that has been great to see.

Daisy goes on to say “perhaps the biggest difference between CultureBot and other platforms is that CultureBot ties everything together much more (compared to other platforms). There is also no notification fatigue. Finding a balance in a noisy Slack is really beneficial because CultureBot is being used for all things engagement for us. People can really control what is coming through – if someone is having a busy day, they can pause the notifications super quickly; they take ownership over the engagement, just like they could at a busy day at the office.”
