This spring, we’re ready to launch the full HRIS Integration, with 50+ HRIS platforms supported. CultureBot’s HRIS Sync is officially out of beta and launching in April for a limited number of companies.

What Gets Synced (Daily)
Every morning, CultureBot connects to your HRIS, scans for employees, matches them to CultureBot users, and updates the following fields automatically — no admin action required:
When someone gets hired, promoted, moves teams, or changes their title in your HRIS, CultureBot will reflect that the next morning. No spreadsheet required.
Powering Employee Journeys on Autopilot
This is where HRIS Sync gets genuinely exciting for People Ops teams.
CultureBot’s Onboarding & Journeys feature lets you build sequences of automated messages, surveys, and touchpoints timed to an employee’s start date. But until now, making that work reliably meant someone had to manually enter or confirm new hire information in CultureBot — or send us a spreadsheet on a continuous basis.
With HRIS Sync, your HRIS is the source of truth — and CultureBot listens to it every day. The moment a new hire appears in your HRIS, their data flows into CultureBot automatically. That means your entire onboarding journey can start without anyone lifting a finger:

Day 1 — Welcome message to the new hire
A warm Slack or Teams message lands automatically, timed to their start date from the HRIS. You can include custom help tips, a list of resources, and more.
Day 1 — Notification to their manager
Their manager (pulled from the HRIS sync) gets a heads-up message with prompts to reach out.
Day 1 — New hire announced to the team
CultureBot sends an announcement to the right channel, using the new hire’s department, title, and location from the sync to make a proper introduction.
Day 5 — First-week pulse survey sent
A short survey goes out automatically to check in on how the first week felt — no admin scheduling needed.
Day 30, 60, or 90 — Onboarding survey sent
Pick a time of your choosing for additional automated surveys to go out to your new hire, giving your HR team ongoing insights into the onboarding experience.
All of this fires because CultureBot knows who the employee is, who their manager is, what department they’re in, and when they started — all from your HRIS. Set it up once, and it runs for every new hire going forward.
Celebrations That Run Themselves
Birthdays and work anniversaries run automatically with CultureBot — but they’re only as good as the data behind them. When your HRIS is the source of truth and CultureBot is listening to it daily, you eliminate the most common failure mode: outdated dates that lead to missed moments.

- New hires are automatically added — no one has to remember to set them up in CultureBot.

- Employees can still choose to opt out — because we understand not everyone wants their birthday celebrated, any employee can opt out of celebrations directly through Slack.

The integration syncs every morning automatically. You don’t need to trigger it manually — it runs on its own and provides a log of any updates made.

Yes! Customers on our Pro plan will receive direct outreach from their Customer Success Manager with details on how to get connected. If you haven’t heard from us yet, or are not on a Pro plan but are interested in HRIS Sync, you can also use the form on this page to register your interest.
Does HRIS Sync require a long setup process?
Setup is straightforward! The CultureBot team provides step-by-step guidance. You’ll just need to provide a key directly from your HRIS, and we handle the rest. Most integrations go live within an hour.
Is the HRIS sync an additional cost?
For security and reliability, we use a third-party vendor that enables HRIS connections. That vendor recently updated its pricing, and comparable alternatives have the same cost. We believe the HRIS sync is a genuinely valuable feature, so we offer it at cost to our customers.
